As in past years, leading IMP researchers will hold a
doctoral consortium at which they will provide doctoral
students with personalised guidance regarding their research
problems and possibilities. The IMP Doctoral Consortium
brings together the most promising PhD projects from the IMP
group. The purpose of the consortium is to serve as a forum
for Doctoral students to exchange ideas with peers and meet
with business to business marketing research experts from
the IMP Group.
The benefits students will gain from participating are numerous:
- Detailed comments on their research proposal
- Insight into the approach taken by other students
- Further insights into concepts, theories and methods applied within the areas of industrial networks and inter-organisational relationships, based on interaction with leading scholars from the field
- Networking opportunities with established IMP researchers
- Networking opportunities with fellow students
This consortium is highly competitive and places are strictly limited, but submissions are welcomed from students at any stage in their research. Students who have presented at previous consortia are not eligible to reapply, but are instead encouraged to submit to the main conference. Discussion of presentations at the conference is a source of serious scholarly inspiration for all those involved.
Students should submit their proposal following the paper guidelines for the main conference. A detailed abstract should be submitted for consideration by January 24th 2011. Acceptance of your abstract does not guarantee a place at the consortium but is an indication of the suitability of your project and fit with IMP. Full proposals must be submitted by April 4th 2011, acceptance will be confirmed by June 8th 2011.
Please note that there is no fee for Registration Information for the doctoral consortium. The fee for registration the doctoral consortium and the main conference is £250 (early booking) and £300 (non-early booking, on or after 1st July 2011).
